As anyone on this blog probably knows by now, when you get free coupons you save a lot of money on your monthly bills. You save on food, household items, toiletries and even toys or movies. Many times the coupons that can be clipped from magazines or printed from sites like coupons.com aren’t worth as much as we had hoped. If you really want to save big money and even get free products, follow these simple steps. This will work no matter what you want; whether it be Kotex coupons, Febreze coupons, Cheerios coupons, Kashi coupons or anything else.
Step 1: Get a box, bottle or bag of your favorite product. Search the bottle over for the website. This will usually be located beneath the ingredients.
Step 2: Go to your computer and type in the website on the product. Check the primary company name, such as Proctor and Gamble or Kimberly-Clarke, etc. You can use this on a variety of products, but you want to avoid contacting the same company multiple times in a short timeframe.
Step 3: Find the Contact Us button on the website. This is usually either at the top right of the page or on the very bottom.
Step 4: Fill out the required boxes on the Contact Us form. Choose ‘General Comments’ if they ask for a reason why you are contacting them.
Step 5: In the comment box state why you like the product you are contact them about. For example, if you are trying to get Febreze coupons, tell Proctor and Gamble how it got the smell of dog vomit after a bad vet trip out of your car seats. If you are trying to get Kotex coupons tell them how you only trust their feminine hygiene products. For Cheerios coupons, explain that you are using it to lower your bad cholesterol or that it’s even part of a doctor’s recommendation. For Kashi coupons, explain that you are trying to live a healthier more natural life.
Step 6: Do not forget to give your name and address on the Contact Us form.
That’s it. Not much work, right? You can repeat this with all of your favorite products as long as the manufacturer is different.
About 1 - 2 business days after you send your comments you will receive an e-mail from a customer service representative. This will usually say that in order to thank you for your time in helping them better their products and develop new products, they are going to send you a packet of manufacturer’s coupons. About 2 - 6 weeks later you will receive your coupons.
Every time I have done this I have received a coupon for a free product or two as well as a booklet or packet of other coupons for products from the same manufacturer. I have received free Febreze coupons, Kotex coupons and Kashi coupons in the last month, which is why I wanted to share this right now. It’s a great way to get coupons in the mail and the extra manufacturer’s coupons are worth $1 or more off other items.

I received some coupons for free Perdue, all-white chicken nuggets from a promotional freebie on SheSpeaks.com last week. After a bit o searching I discovered Perdue brand chicken is only sold on the East coast. It is only sold as far West as St. Louis, Missouri.
Seeing as I’m back in Missouri, I have no way of using these coupons, so I send them to a friend - Enjoy Diane!
So, other than being disappointed that a company would send promotional freebie material to people who don’t have access to their products, I thought I’d do a review of the Perdue products I did use in the past.
When I was attending college in Pennsylvania, Perdue was just about the only chicken brand I could buy. Boneless, skinless chicken breast was the main product I used and Perdue successfully put me off chicken for a full year.
There were chunks of bone in one chicken breast bones that were thankfully found while chopping it up, not while eating it. Another pack, one chicken had tons of blood tumors - I don’t know if that’s the accurate term, but they were just balls of hard flesh full of blood, that when sliced through gushed. I’m not squeamish about blood, but the meat I eat probably shouldn’t have tumors/cysts.
Needless to say, I’m a bit squeamish about Perdue products. The blue, plastic bags ending up sliced up in their chicken nuggets, prompting a recall in July 2010 doesn’t leave a stellar impression either - though that was probably just an employee who dropped a bag and didn’t want to get in trouble.
My rating, buy Perdue anything at your own risk.

How to Use Free Printable Coupons at Wal-Mart

Using free printable coupons should be easy. You print them directly from your computer with sites like coupons.com, redplum.com or a similar website.
You then take the coupon in to Wal-Mart and after picking up the items, sending them down the conveyor belt to the cashier, you hand the coupons over to be scanned. S/he scans them, the world is good and you have saved money on your purchases.
Except that some Wal-Mart store managers have decided to take it upon themselves to say that they no longer take printed internet coupons. Some of them train their cashiers to just say no to all internet coupons and not only the ones that look suspicious or fraudulent and others actually put out signs that say they no longer accept free printable coupons. They think all consumers are stupid. They think couponers will just take it and go on their way, avoiding the hassle of having to scan coupons, send them in to the manufacturer and possibly having to identify fraudulent coupons - because heaven forbid, at $7 an hour, a cashier have to do such a thing as think.
Well, surprise, no Wal-Mart has the right to create a rule like this. Wal-Mart corporate coupon policy supersedes any coupon policy a store manager may choose to makeup. And it is making it up since they don’t have the authority to do such a thing.
First, print a copy of the Wal-Mart coupon policy and keep it in your wallet, purse or coupon carrier; I keep it in the envelope I keep my coupons in, that way I always have it when I’m using coupons. This clearly states that printed internet coupons must be taken as long as they are legible and say manufacturer's coupon on them.
If your coupons are refused, not because the cashier suspects they are fraudulent - and it is up to the cashier’s discretion to determine such a thing - but just because they are free printable coupons, ask to speak to a manager. If the manager also refuses because of some ‘policy’ of not accepting them, show the corporate policy and tell them each Wal-Mart has no right to make such a policy as corporate already has a contradicting one.
Now, sometimes managers will try to lie to you and sometimes they are merely misinformed by the managers above them - the six or more managers that are on duty are not really THE manager, but are just floor managers who must follow the orders of another. They may tell you that ‘this is a new policy we’ve just adopted’ or ‘we just received an e-mail from corporate that says the policy has changed’.
Well, some Wal-Marts and some store managers have been trying to pull this stunt for years, ever since printable coupons were made available and popular for ease of access, and it’s just not true. The policy hasn’t changed yet and it’s likely the media and couponers around the globe would go nuts if Wal-Mart suddenly did change the corporate policy. The backlash would be immediate and unmistakable.
So what do you do if you’re fed a line like this?
If you’re still in the store, call Wal-Mart corporate at 1-800-925-6278. I actually have this number saved to my phone just in case. Usually just threatening to call corporate and showing you have the number makes the manager change his/her tune if they were feeding you lies. If they were just misinformed themselves you’ll be issued an apology and your coupons run for you.
If you’re not still in the store, visit http://www.walmart.com/. Go to the Contact Us button - which is located at the bottom of the page under ‘Help’. Choose e-mail walmart stores and then ‘Company Feedback and Questions’. Explain the situation, what store it happened at, including the store number which can be located on Wal-Mart.com’s store locator.
In a day or two you should be called by the top manager at the Wal-Mart you had trouble in and an apology will be issued for the improper behavior as well as a guarantee that it will never happen again. Some follow through with removing the no internet coupon policy after receiving a dressing down from corporate, but others may still try to keep that policy. Remember the name of the manager who issued the apology and ask to speak with him/her the next time your free printable coupons are refused at the checkout.

You can get, with an online purchase of $10 or more, a free 32 count box of True Lemon, True Lime or True Orange. Just enter the discount code "FreeLemon" "FreeOrange" or "FreeLime" (depending on which product you want free) in the promo code section of the checkout.
I love promocodes like this. And after I got my sample pack of True Lemon products today, I am absolutely gaga over these things. I drank a True Orange and put True Lemon on top of my chicken alfredo pasta and they were both so delicious.

Choose one of three Kashi products to receive a free sample of. The sample will be sent right to your mailbox. I love Kashi samples; they always ship pretty fast and they taste delicious. I chose the dark chocolate fruit and grain granola bar.
All the Kashi product samples I have received have come with really nice coupons for the product I chose. One included products for a few other items too, so I'm hoping for that. I'd love some of the cereal again, but it's just too expensive to buy without a coupon.

If you're like me and you think Stevia tastes disgusting, but you still don't want to use sugar or those other artificial sweeteners then you might want to give Ideal sweetener a try. They're giving away a promotional freebie of their product just to prove their claim that it tastes better than sugar. These types of samples usually come with a nice coupon too so get your free grocery coupon while testing this out.
